Believe it or not, this was my final project for an illustration class. We were asked to design a poster for a movie or some other media we think would make a good movie. Who was I to resist?
Having the whole class critique it was a bit weird though...
Well, as a work for art I made a sculpture of Finn the human and a photoshop work with the Ice King that you can find in my gallery. He gave me a 6/10 xD . I was also a little bit strange to show that in front of all my classmates xD. About the pic, I think it would be great to see a MLP FiM movie, but know Discord is supposed to be good, and he can´t be the main villain. However, watching him as a main character in the movie would be great.
As you might have guessed, I made this before even the first episode of season 3. Canon ruins everything.
I still think that converting Discord in an episode was a bad idea too, but only because the time frame didn't give depth to the plot. Discord's evil-to-good character development just doesn't deserve the abbreviated resolution it was given. I would definitely get behind a movie where they converted him at the climax though. That, instead of vanquishing evil, especially fits in MLP's themes of friendship and other such bullshit.
I also think that becoming him into a good boy should have taken more time to be correctly developed. In two chapters maybe, or during a movie. But they did a good work, although the end was a little bit strange.
There was one person who knew about ponies but didn't care about the show. Everyone else pretty much kept whatever they were thinking to themselves. It was thoroughly average.
